The Threads of Writing

Have you ever heard of threading?

In the crafts world of knitting and crocheting, the first row of threading can determine how the entire project turns out.

How, you may ask? Well, if the first row is not spaced properly you can have a hard time developing the second row and it may force you to start all over from the beginning. I've done this many times before, and it can be quite tiresome to be on the same row 3-4 hours later, having made little progress.

If I were crocheting, I would pull out certain needle types and organize other accessories to get started. The easiest thing would seemingly be to pick out the yarn. However, sometimes that is the initial difficulty one experiences, due to all the patterns available. The same can be said for determining your audience in writing. There are certain resources that one can pull aside, such as books and tutorials, to assist them with the process but none of them are worth anything without hands on experience.

According to some experts, crocheting a large part of its' success depends upon a specific way you hold your hand. This particular illustration, by teachers, is in efforts to make crocheting easier for you by allowing the needle to do all the work. However, if you're uncomfortable using the technique of someone else, should you choose to do so, there is a great chance that you won't accomplish what you set out to do. Why because everyone is different, some people are left handed or left brained. What then, are they not able to successfully create an afghan or blanket of a pro?  Of course they are, but they do it their way.

Before you get out of your comfort zone you have to at least know what it is.
  • Practice writing your own content and developing a conversation style that you're comfortable with.
An opinion to one person, is advice to another; The criteria for sharing is wisdom.
  • Brainstorm all your interest, create drafts of the articles you would be interested in hearing about and value your contributions to healthy & harmless resolutions for your readers. You don't need 100 years worth of experience, 1 is enough. Though if you have it, utilize them to help someone you both.
Keep boundaries in their proper place.
  • There is no point in placing restrictions on yourself, when you are already rejected by some. If you were dehydrated, would you listen to a people, tell you that you should only drink a quarter of what you really require to function, due to the wastefulness of some. Surely you would need to either indulge, change suppliers, or both. Why? The supply you cut off, can be picked up somewhere else.
